Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Did you have fun celebrating Valentine's Day as much as we did at #SeasonsOfKidLit? We certainly hope so! A HUGE thanks to all of the authors who joined us, and a special thanks to all of our amazing readers!
The #SeasonsOfKidLit team will be back on February 12th to announce the winners of our giveaway. Did you comment on every post? Please leave a comment below to let us know so you can be entered into our doubly sweet critique drawing, with feedback from both Heather and Lynne Marie.
What's the next event?
Stay tuned for #SeasonsOfKidLit's Spring Event in April! We'll be featuring books about Spring, Passover, Eggs, and Easter! We're also excited to have fun pop-up posts in between.
And now, a special message from your hosts Heather and Lynne Marie!
Q: What do you love most about Valentine's Day?
Heather: For me, it's the fun memories made with my family that go along with the holiday. I love getting sweet treats for my kids and seeing their faces light up when they open their gift. One year, I got my kids their very own (giant) chocolate shark because... that's what we do in #Florida, apparently. They absolutely loved it!
For my husband, that same year I bought pizza dough from the grocery store and made the two of us a heart-shaped pizza for dinner. It tasted pretty amazing, too. But, seriously, what's better than pizza? ;)
I wish all of you a Happy Valentine's Day filled with the best memories possible!
Lynne Marie: I thought long and hard about what I love most about Valentine’s Day. There are so many reasons to love this holiday! It’s one I have always celebrated, whether it be with friends, family or a true Valentine. But what I love most of all, it is a holiday that we all can celebrate! Next, who doesn’t love a sweet treat, whether cookies or candy - my favorite is dark chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (a childhood favorite). And flowers always freshen the spirit and the room. I love the warmth and joy of the sweet colors (red and pink). And cards – I love the creativity and fun of making them. In particular, Valentine’s Day Mailbox crafts to store them in! But I realize that, most of all, I love Valentine’s Day Books! So as a sweet treat to our readers, I wanted to share a few more titles.
